Can You Help Me Change?

We ALL have hurts, bad habits, addictive or compulsive behaviors or attitudes that keep us from experiencing peace in our lives. Admitting that on our own, we are powerless to change is the first step to recovery. We'd like to help you take your next step. Are you in the middle of a crisis?

Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity to accept the things
I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can and
Wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardship as the pathway to peace;
Taking as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it.
Trusting that He will make all things right if I
Surrender to His Will,
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
And supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.

Amen.

What does the Serenity prayer mean?
We are acknowledging God's existence and recognizing that He is truly the one who can bring us inner peace regardless of our sometimes chaotic circumstances. Without allowing God to enter our hearts and minds, we are victims of our circumstances in life. This prayer acknowledges our need to surrender to God and also reminds us that we need to trust God to work things out, one day at a time, recognizing that going through hardships will make us stronger when we trust Him, even if we don't understand the "why" of our circumstances.
