Community Impact/Missions
We have teams who do a lot to make CVC a safe place for people to experience God and learn that they matter to God, so they matter to us. But ministry also happens behind the scenes, outside of the auditorium and beyond our campuses.
If you like:
- Praying for the needs of others
- Caring for people by providing food assistance
- Cooking and providing meals for people affected by illness or a death in the family
- Construction
- Humanitarian Aid and Relief Efforts
- Cross-cultural interaction
Consider...
- Serving in our Food Pantry - (providing food assistance to families
in our community)
- Comfort and Care - (prepare and/or deliver meals to people who've
had a baby, or who have been hospitalized and/or are dealing with
grief/the loss of a family member)
- Counseling Team - (provide Biblical counseling to people seeking
guidance in relationship challenges or other needs)
- Prayer Team - (pray for requests from weekend service guests and/or
requests submitted from our community); or pray with a team
before/during weekend services for the leadership and teams
producing our weekend services
- Local Outreach Teams - (join a team of volunteers to offer
assistance cleaning, painting or light construction at the City of
Refuge or provide loving support to elderly people in local
long-term care facilities). Also, keep checking the lobby
Information Counter for short-term opportunities that come up for
various local outreach projects
- Construction - opportunities to help build affordable housing in
our communities
- International - assist and provide humanitarian relief efforts
through our global partners to provide community development
resources. Travel to Kenya, Mexico and other areas with one of our
annual mission teams.
