Yes, you sure can, at Discovery 101!
Discovery 101
Pastor John is usually available in the lobby foyer after weekend services, however, if you're new to CVC, Pastor John hosts a monthly event developed especially with you in mind - Discovery 101. It's a great way to learn more about Christianity, more about CVC's history, beliefs and values. It's free and childcare is provided. Stay for a free dinner afterwards and meet some of the CVC staff and other people like you who are new to CVC or taking their next steps at CVC Discovery 201 or 301. Call the CVC Administrative Office (267-0151) for more information or sign up to receive CVC News by email to find out when the next Discovery 101 is scheduled (usually held the second Sunday of each month from 4 to 6pm).
Discovery 201 - Discovering Spiritual Growth
Learn more about developing a relationship with Christ, including Bible study, prayer, connecting in small groups, tithing and other basic disciplines of the Christian life. Prerequisite: Discovery 101. Register Online or call the CVC Administrative Office (267- 0151) for more information.
Discovery 301 - Discovering My Fit
We believe spiritual growth happens best in community. We encourage everyone to commit at least 3 to 5 hours per week to God. One hour in worship (weekend services), one hour of discipleship (Growth Group or Devotionals) and one hour of serving (volunteer).
Discover how your personality, life experiences, talents and skills all have a purpose. God "wired" you to serve others in a special way.
