A CVC Life Change Story ...
Dear Pastor John,
I needed to write you this email this morning because I am so in awe of what has happened in our lives. As I told you at one time George and I were splitting up. Anyway, we had been somewhat talking but not getting anywhere for the last couple of weeks. So I guess one thing you need to know is that we are both alcoholics, addicted, etc. Another thing you should know is that many years ago I did ask Jesus into my life. Granted I have not been a good example, have backslid continuously ...

CVC Summer Saturdays (June 11 - September 3)
Dinner at 5pm; One Saturday Service at 6pm

(Everything we do on Sunday, but with Summertime Extras!)
  • Extra Time with Friends and Family - Come for Dinner at 5pm and stay for sports and games after the service.
  • Extra Food - You can even bring the food inside and sit in "CVC cafe style setting" inside the auditorium.
  • Extra Sleep On Sunday! - Join us for our Summer Saturday service at 6pm Saturday and sleep in on Sunday - or have the whole day to get outside and enjoy our beautiful Sierra surroundings!
 
Discovery 101 Class - June 12 - 4:00-6:00pm - in the Lobby
Questions about CVC? Pastor John will share with you (and about 10-20 others) the values and vision of CVC and explain who we are as a church. Childcare is provided and dinner will be served at 6:00pm. Join us!
 
River (18-30 single or married) Sundays 6:00-7:30pm
Join us each Sunday evening for a time of worship, teaching and discussion around tables. Childcare is available. Click here for more information.

Seniors Mark Your Calendars for a July 23rd Picnic Event at Bowers Mansion!
CVC's Senior Ambassdors will be hosting a "bring your own picnic lunch" planned for Saturday, July 23rd at the Historic Bower's Mansion in Washoe Valley. Join us for a guided tour at 10:30am. then after the tour and lunch we'll have games and fellowship. For more information, contact Mary Bersin.

Xtreme Family Conference - July 24-July 26
What is it? A Vacation Bible School for the whole family (children and adults) DIG DEEP this summer with high-energy worship songs, funny skits, creative crafts, exciting games, an archeological dig and best of all, Bible learning that will help your whole family go DEEPER in their faith. The conference takes place from 6:00-8:30pm each evening. Watch for more info coming soon to CVCwired.com
 
Scrap'n Sisters - Friday, June 3 & Friday, July 1, 6-11pm
Meets the first Friday of each month for a devotional time, prayer, fellowship and scrapbookin' fun. Open to Women ages 18+. For more information contact Tina Barry at the CVC office, or email DJ.
 
Everybody loves family ... or at least we're supposed to!
How are we supposed to handle the realities of marriage and parenting in the modern world? Everybody Loves Family will help you laugh, learn, and LIVE in the middle of the marriage and parenting pressures you are facing today. Join us the final weekend of this teaching series, and bring a friend!

Adventureland Summer Serve - June 4 through September 4
Volunteers are needed for all ages during the weekend services this summer. It's easy! It's fun! And the best part is that you'll be helping CVC reach out to families by ensuring that Adventureland's doors are open to every child. You'll also be giving one of our faithful Adventureland Children's Ministry Team volunteers a break. For more info, contact Tracy Conover.

    Comfort and Care Ministry
    Be available to listen, encourage and support those in the hospital or going through difficult times in their life. Involvement depends upon your availability. There are quarterly meetings. For more info, please contact Roy Conover at 267-0151 x232.
