Meet Pastor John

Dr. John Jackson is the founding and Senior Pastor of Carson Valley Christian Center.

Five ways to describe him: Gifted Teacher. Visionary. Passionate about seeing people experience life change through Christ. Committed to Christ, his wife and his family. Genuine and Approachable.

Some of his credentials: John is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara (Ph.D., M.A. In Educational Administration), Fuller Theological Seminary (M.A. In Theology/Christian Formation), and Chapman University (B.A. In Religion/Christian History, cum laude). He has over 25 years experience in leadership, teaching and coaching, in ministry and with business leaders. (So, what does that mean?: He loves to read, study and learn; he knows really big words - and occasionally he gets to use them! :-)

Where did we find him? We didn't. He found us. In 1997, John and his wife, Pam, moved from Southern California, to the Carson Valley, with the dream of reaching out to people who had never attended or who might have given up on attending church - for whatever reason ­ to let them know that they mattered to God. CVC began with 4 families (meeting in their living room) and flourished to the over 1600 people who currently attend one of four services every weekend.

What he cherishes: His wife, Pam and their five children - Jennifer, Dena, Rachel, Joshua and Harrison.
