LifeTeams
At CVC, people become friends and friends become family.
CVC provides many opportunities for you to connect with people just like you.

Would you like to
connect with other
CVC people & dig
a little deeper
into God's Word?

Join a LifeTeam!

LifeTeams at CVC are small groups typically of 6 to 12 people who get together regularly to help each other live out our faith and core values in our daily lives. Some groups meet weekly; some meet twice a month. CVC LifeTeams meet in homes throughout Carson City, Carson Valley, South Lake Tahoe and Dayton. There are also on-campus LifeTeams available at CVC if you prefer not to meet in an individual home. If you're looking for a place to get to know other CVC people better while spending more time studying God's Word, this is the perfect opportunity to get involved!

Why should I be in a LifeTeam?

We believe spiritual growth happens best in community. You may find yourself challenged to grow deeper in your walk with God. We are Friends Helping Friends Follow Christ. LifeTeams offer the opportunity to build trusting and lasting relationships and meaningful friendships in an atmosphere of acceptance and loving support. If you're new to the area or new to CVC, it's a great way to get connected with other people who attend CVC.

LifeTeam Ministry Opportunities
(Contact: Kevin Trevithick)
F/S indicates a First Serve opportunity -- a place where you can make a significant contribution without extensive training or experience -- all you need is a willing heart!
F/S -- LifeTeam Host -- Open your home and create a comfortable setting for those who seek community. If you can "put on a pot of coffee" and provide a distraction-free environment for 10-15/ppl, you've got what it takes.

F/S -- Administrative Coordinator -- Work with LifeTeam Pastor to facilitate communication with groups and monitor group progress. Also assists in organization of training events. Basic computer skills required.
Facilitator -- Are you familiar with basic Christian beliefs? Have you completed CVC Discovery 301? That's all you need to be able to facilitate a LifeTeam in your area. Quarterly training required; coaching provided.

Coach -- Encourage, advise and coach LifeTeam leaders/facilitators. Meet regularly with the LifeTeam Pastor for planning/prayer. Coaching and training materials are provided. Experience in volunteer ministry is required, including some previous LifeTeam participation.
